Uzbekistan's Mahallas Plan to Create 7,500 Jobs

Centers will develop sewing, furniture, metal, and leather-footwear production in 400 mahallas.

In 2026, a list of 53 micro-industrial centers was formed to develop small-scale production, reports the Ministry of Economy and Finance.

In the first stage, 75 billion sums were allocated for their infrastructure. The funds will be directed toward electricity, gas, drinking water, sewage, and roads.

An additional 35 billion sums were allocated for the construction of engineering and communication networks for the centers.
