President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with Rafael Santana, Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of Wabtec. The discussion focused on the expansion and modernization of the locomotive fleet, as well as potential equipment supplies with long-term service support facilitated by US financial institutions.
The development of railway infrastructure and the country's transit capabilities were reviewed in the context of plans to renew the fleet. Additionally, the participants exchanged views on cooperation in the field of diesel-generator units.
Wabtec manufactures locomotives and railway equipment, offers digital and service solutions, and implements projects in the countries of Central Asia.
