The foundation of Peter de Putron’s fortune is G-Research, a technology company specialising in quantitative financial research that develops programs for trading on financial markets. According to a competitor’s estimate, a fund associated with the company manages assets worth between 10 and 12 billion dollars.

The billionaire makes every effort to avoid disclosing details of his personal life. According to journalists’ sources, he may specify the meeting location only a few minutes before it begins and require participants to leave electronic devices behind. Even some people who have known him for many years do not have his phone number.

According to Financial Times, there are no publicly available photographs of the billionaire. As previously reported by The Wall Street Journal, citing a business associate, at one public event the billionaire was dressed 'like a typical spy': wearing a hat, a trench coat, and sunglasses, which he did not remove either outdoors or indoors.
