Uzbekistan to Establish State Prize Named After Ibn Sina
The President awarded state honors to healthcare workers, entrepreneurs, and foreign partners in the sector.

Uzbekistan’s President Shavkat Mirziyoyev proposed establishing a separate state prize for medical workers who have distinguished themselves in protecting health, implementing scientific developments, and modern treatment methods. The prize will be named after Ibn Sina.
The head of state noted the contribution of over 800,000 workers to changes in the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors.
A new model of primary healthcare has been tested in 28 districts. Family doctors were assigned to 7 million residents, laboratories were opened, doctors and nurses were trained, and patient pathways were developed.
Starting next year, this model is planned to be introduced in another 100 districts of Uzbekistan.
