Uzbekistan to Offer Tax Breaks and Loans to Transport Businesses
In Uzbekistan, train stations, bus terminals, and local airports are planned to be exempted from a number of taxes. The measures are outlined in a draft presidential decree on the development of passenger transportation until 2030.
According to the document, from 2027 to 2030, passenger transport facilities are proposed to be exempted from property tax and land tax. For new buses and electric buses of a certain category imported by the end of 2027, the recycling fee is planned to be abolished.
At bus terminals, up to 20% of the territory will be allowed to be used for shops, cafes, hotels, and other services. Carriers are also planned to be provided with preferential loans and subsidies.
The total volume of investments in infrastructure development is preliminarily estimated at $4,574.3 million.
