Apple Cuts Budgets for Internal AI Usage
According to Bloomberg, Apple has reduced the daily spending limit for engineering teams on AI from $300 to $200 and is preparing further cuts.

In October, the company reduced the maximum daily spending for engineering teams on AI. Bloomberg reports that some limits may drop to $100 per day.
Outside of engineering divisions, Apple is considering even stricter limits—down to $25 per day. The decision is linked to a review of internal AI usage expenses.
Previously, the business actively encouraged employees to use AI, expecting efficiency gains, but attention has since shifted to the cost of such tools. Meanwhile, doubts remain about whether the productivity gains justify the expenses for AI development and operation.
