New Tashkent Metro Stations to Feature Displays Showing Exact Train Arrival Times

Electronic displays showing the exact arrival and departure times of trains are planned to be installed in stages on new lines and stations of the capital's metro.

Currently, station displays count down the time since the departure of the previous train, rather than until the arrival of the next one. Upgrading existing stations is complicated by technical limitations, and the timeline for modernization has not yet been determined.

Over the past seven years, 21 stations and 33 km of lines have been opened in Tashkent. Today, the network comprises 50 stations with a total length of 71 km. The metro transports over 1.2 million passengers daily. In 2027, it is planned to purchase 14 five-car trains.
