The net profit of farmers from cotton cultivation is expected to reach 13–14 trillion Uzbekistani soms.
In recent years, sown areas have decreased by 38%, while the average yield has increased from 21 to 56 centners per hectare. On nearly 70,000 hectares, yields of 100–110 centners were harvested. 85% of the crop was collected in 30–35 days using over 3,000 machines. In the Jizzakh and Syrdarya regions, harvesting is fully mechanized.
By 2027, authorities plan to raise the average yield to 65–70 centners, including through the use of new varieties, agricultural drones, and water-saving technologies.
