Uzbekistan presents artefacts at exhibition in Milan

The Uzbekistan Foundation for the Development of Culture and Art has presented eight exhibits at the Global Antiquity exhibition in Milan. It will run until 1 March 2027.

The Uzbekistan Foundation for the Development of Culture and Art (ACDF) has presented eight items from the country's museum collections at the exhibition. The Global Antiquity exhibition opened on 5 November 2026 at the Fondazione Prada in Milan and is dedicated to over 1,600 years of cultural exchange between the Mediterranean and Asia.

Among the Uzbek exhibits are a sculptural depiction of a prince from Khalchayan, linked to the artistic heritage of ancient Bactria, and seven chess pieces found in Afrasiab. They showcase the material culture of the region and the development of the intellectual life of its population during the historical period.

Global Antiquity will be on display at the Fondazione Prada until 1 March 2027.
